And Just Like That, Summer Has Officially Begun
I blinked and somehow it’s the last day of school. Sophie walked in the door at 3:47 PM and immediately announced “I’M FREE” like she’d just been released from prison. Theo followed thirty seconds later doing some kind of victory dance that involved way too much hip movement for an eleven-year-old.

And Just Like That, Summer Has Officially Begun
They immediately started high-fiving and plotting their summer chaos at the kitchen island.

Victory high-five for surviving another school year
Theo’s already demanding we go fossil hunting (aka rock collecting at the park), and Sophie’s making a list of every friend she wants to hang out with now that she doesn’t have homework hanging over her head. The energy in this house just shifted from “school mode” to “summer chaos mode” and honestly, I’m here for it.

Theo’s summer freedom dance moves are… something
Three months of no alarm clocks, no lunch packing, no “did you brush your teeth” battles. Just pool days, late mornings, and whatever adventures these two cook up.

Already plotting their summer adventures
Marcus is already researching summer camps because he knows what’s coming. But for today, we’re just celebrating freedom and the fact that we all survived another school year. Barely, but we did it.
