Came home today and Marcus was working from his office - our new reality. Schools are closed. Everything is closed. I’m still going in.

They’re calling us heroes. I just want PPE that fits and the promise I’ll come home to my babies every night.

Processing the day

I went to work today. I came home. I didn’t hug them first - I showered, scrubbed my hands until they were raw, changed into clean clothes. Then I held them so tight. Sophie asked why I was crying. I told her happy tears. Mostly true.

I don’t know what the next few weeks will look like. I don’t know how long this lasts. I know I’ll keep showing up. I know Marcus will hold down the fort. I know we’ll figure it out. We always do.
