👩‍⚕️ Elena 🦕 Theo

My mother-in-law brought Theo a little plastic T-Rex last week, thinking it was just a cute toy for an 11-month-old. What she actually did was awaken something primal in my baby.

Theo can barely walk - he’s still doing that wobbly cruise-around-the-furniture thing - but he has chosen his life’s passion with the determination of a medieval monk. The dinosaur goes everywhere. High chair, car seat, bath time (yes, dinosaurs need baths too apparently). He sleeps with it clutched in his little fist and cries actual tears when I have to wash it.

I tried to give him other toys this morning. Blocks? Rejected. His favorite stuffed bear? Abandoned. The plastic T-Rex? Pure joy. He just sits there examining every tiny detail like he’s a paleontologist making field notes. The focus is honestly impressive. Most adults can’t concentrate on anything for more than five minutes, but my 11-month-old has found his calling.

Sophie thinks it’s hilarious that her baby brother is already more committed to something than Marcus is to his hobbies. She’s not wrong. At least Theo’s obsession is portable.
