I was going through old photos on my phone (dangerous territory, I know) and found these gems from when Theo was 2.

Throwback to Peak Chaos

This was a Tuesday morning in 2017, back when breakfast was basically performance art and I measured success by how little cereal ended up on the floor.

Look at that face in

That face says ‘I regret nothing’

• pure, unapologetic joy. Zero regrets about the milk mustache or the Cheerios in his hair. This was peak toddler Theo, when every meal was an adventure and I went through approximately fourteen dish towels a day.

shows the full crime scene - I remember taking this photo and thinking ‘I should be cleaning this up’ but also ‘I need to document this chaos for future me.’

Now he’s 11 and still makes epic messes, just with Minecraft builds and dinosaur facts instead of cereal.

Mission accomplished

That triumphant Cheerio moment? Still his energy when he discovers a new dinosaur species or beats Marcus at Settlers of Catan. Some things never change - my kid is still a beautiful disaster and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
