The Tiny Dictator Speaks
Sophie has discovered the power of words and she’s wielding them like tiny weapons. Her vocabulary has exploded from basic babbling to actual phrases, and let me tell you, she has opinions about everything.

The Tiny Dictator Speaks
Her current favorites? “No” (said with the authority of a Supreme Court justice) and “more” (accompanied by pointing that would make a drill sergeant proud). She’s also mastered “up,” “go,” and “mine” - basically all the words she needs to run this household. Marcus keeps insisting she said “Dada” first, but I’m choosing to believe her first word was actually “Mama” and we just weren’t paying attention.
This morning she sat in her high chair like a tiny CEO conducting a board meeting, pointing at her Cheerios and declaring “More! More!” with such conviction that I actually found myself apologizing for the delay in service. When I tried to wipe her face, she looked me dead in the eye and said “No.” Not crying, not upset - just a calm, clear statement of her position on face-wiping.
My child is a tiny dictator and honestly? I respect the hustle. She knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to ask for it. These are life skills, people.
