She's Here

She's Here

👩‍⚕️ Elena 👨‍💻 Marcus 🎭 Sophie

One week ago today, at 3:47 AM, Sophie Grace Hartwell decided she was done cooking and ready to meet the world. After eighteen hours of labor (EIGHTEEN HOURS), she arrived screaming, with a full head of dark hair and an attitude that I suspect she gets from me. 7 lbs 4 oz of absolute perfection.

She's Here

She’s Here

Marcus held her first while I was getting stitched up, and I watched this grown man just completely fall apart in the best possible way. He started crying the moment they placed her in his arms, and he hasn’t really stopped looking at her with that same wonder since we brought her home. I broke two of his fingers during labor and he didn’t complain once. This man is either a saint or completely insane, and either way I’m keeping him.

She has my nose and his eyes and she is absolutely, without question, the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. I will fight anyone who disagrees. She came into this world demanding attention and honestly? Fair. Look at her. I looked at this tiny human and then at Marcus holding her and thought - okay. This is it. This is everything.

Welcome to the world, Sophie Grace. You’re stuck with us now.
