So we finally did it - sent the first official bump photo to the family.

I’ve been putting it off because honestly, until this week it just looked like I ate too much pizza. But at 15 weeks, there’s definitely a little someone in there making their presence known.

My mom’s reaction? Immediate tears. Like, sobbing tears. Then she called three times in a row to make sure I was taking my vitamins and eating enough protein. Roberto got all quiet and just kept saying “that’s my grandchild” over and over like he couldn’t quite believe it. Carmen, being Carmen, immediately ordered a onesie that says “auntie’s favorite” and had it shipped overnight. I love my family but they’re making this feel SO real.

Marcus has been documenting everything - he’s already taken approximately 47 bump photos this week and we’re only keeping this one because the lighting is perfect. The man takes pregnancy photos like he’s shooting for a magazine. Not complaining though - if I’m going to be documenting the next six months, I want to look good doing it.
