It's a Girl (I'm Still Crying)

So we went to the ultrasound today and OH MY GOD IT’S A GIRL. I’m having a daughter. A DAUGHTER. I called my mom from the parking lot and we both just sobbed into the phone for like ten minutes straight.

When we got home, Marcus sat down at the kitchen counter and started sketching this tiny little dress on a napkin

. Just sitting there drawing our future daughter’s first outfit like it’s the most normal thing in the world. I’m watching him and crying AGAIN because how is this man real?

My mom said “she’s going to be just like you, mija” and Marcus immediately said “God help us all” and honestly he’s not wrong. This little girl is going to have opinions and she’s going to make them known. I can already tell.

I haven’t stopped smiling. A daughter. Our daughter. I keep saying it out loud just to hear how it sounds. We’re having a baby GIRL.
