Home for the Holidays
OMG you guys, I’m finally home for Thanksgiving!! First time back since starting at UNC and it feels so good to be in Mama’s kitchen again.

Home for the Holidays
Abuela Rosa is already trying to force-feed me about seventeen tamales and it’s only 2pm.
Diego is being his usual annoying self, telling everyone about his new girlfriend AGAIN (we get it, she’s pre-med), and Carmen keeps talking about her new job at that consulting firm. Meanwhile I’m just trying to survive organic chemistry and not fail statistics. College is SO much harder than high school, nobody warned me about this part!
But honestly? There’s nothing like being home. The kitchen smells like cumin and love, Papi is attempting to fix the string lights on the back porch (it’s been three hours), and I get to sleep in my actual bed tonight instead of that tiny dorm mattress. Sometimes you don’t realize how much you miss home until you’re actually here.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you’re all stuffing your faces with your families too ❤️
