OMG you guys, I’m still laughing about last night!! So I went to this Halloween party right, and I decided to go as what I actually AM - a nursing student. Like, I wore my actual scrubs from clinicals, my real stethoscope, the works. I thought it would be funny and authentic, you know?

Well this girl shows up in one of those ridiculous ‘sexy nurse’ costumes - you know the type, tiny white dress that barely covers anything, fake little hat, plastic stethoscope from Party City. And she’s getting all this attention from guys being like ‘oh wow you look so hot as a nurse!’

Here’s the thing though - I’m standing there in my REAL scrubs that I actually wear to save people’s lives (okay fine, mostly I just take vitals and organize supplies but STILL), and I KNOW I looked better than costume girl. Like, there’s something about wearing the real deal that just hits different, you know? Plus my scrubs are actually cute and flattering, not like those baggy ones some of the older nurses wear.

I may have made some snarky comments to my friends about authenticity versus whatever that costume was supposed to represent. But honestly? I felt confident as hell in my real nurse gear. Sometimes being the real thing is way better than playing dress-up! 💪
