I was going through old photos today and found these gems from when Sophie was 8 and Theo was 4.

Look at those faces! Sophie still had that gap-toothed grin and Theo was in his full dinosaur-obsessed phase (okay, he’s still in that phase, but it was newer then).

Always the helper

This was back when Sophie still thought helping her little brother was the best game ever. Now she acts like he’s radioactive half the time.

Floor picnic adventures

And look - she used to actually read to him! These days getting them in the same room without someone complaining is a minor miracle.

Story time with big sister

But you know what hasn’t changed? The way they look at each other when they think no one’s watching. Sophie still threatens anyone who’s mean to Theo, and Theo still thinks his big sister hung the moon. Some things are forever, even when they’re growing up way too fast.

Someone please tell me how my babies got to be 15 and 11. I swear I just blinked.
