The Hobby Research Phase (Again)
So Marcus has entered what I like to call the “dangerous research phase” of his next hobby obsession.

The Hobby Research Phase (Again)
shows him at his laptop, furiously googling pottery wheels and kiln prices with that gleam in his eye that I’ve learned to fear. You’d think after yesterday’s photo session chaos I’d have learned to hide when he gets like this, but here we are.
Of course, I had to remind him of his track record by pointing out the homebrewing equipment that’s been gathering dust since 2022.

Exhibit A: The homebrewing phase that lasted exactly 3 months
captures me holding up one of his abandoned fermentation buckets - this thing cost $200 and has made exactly three batches of beer, one of which exploded in our closet. But does that deter him? Obviously not.
The real moment of truth came when he showed me actual pottery wheel prices.

The moment I realized pottery wheels cost HOW MUCH
perfectly captures my face when I realized we’re potentially looking at a $800 investment for something that will probably end up next to the sourdough starter graveyard. But honestly, watching him get excited about creating something new is kind of adorable, even if our garage is turning into a museum of abandoned dreams.
At least pottery makes useful things? Maybe we’ll finally get some bowls that aren’t from Target. Or maybe we’ll have very expensive garage decorations. Either way, I’m documenting this journey from the beginning this time.
