Of course, no birthday is complete without the candle ceremony. We managed to get everyone gathered around for the big moment, and Theo made his wish with the kind of serious concentration he usually reserves for paleontology facts. I’m pretty sure I know what he wished for - more dinosaur books, obviously.

The aftermath of any good birthday party involves a lot of wrapping paper and even more excitement. Marcus and Sophie jumped right in to help with cleanup while our birthday boy examined each gift with scientific precision.

Watching him study his new dinosaur with such wonder reminded me that sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones between all the celebration chaos.

Ten years ago, we had no idea this little guy would grow up to be our resident paleontologist and fact machine. Here’s to another year of dinosaur discoveries and that infectious Theo enthusiasm we all love so much!
