OMG you guys, I’M TWENTY!! Like officially not a teenager anymore which feels SO weird but also kind of exciting?? My girls surprised me with dinner at this cute place downtown and we got cocktails (with my REAL ID, thank you very much) and I just felt so… adult.

Of course Carmen called during dessert to give me her ‘now that you’re 20 you need to start thinking about your five-year plan’ speech because she literally cannot help herself. I love my sister but she’s been career-focused since she was like twelve. Meanwhile I’m just trying to survive Organic Chemistry without having a breakdown in the library.

But the BEST part was Dad’s card - he sent me twenty dollars with a note that said ‘you’re 20, mija, get it?’ I literally cannot with this man but it made me smile so big. Sometimes the cheesy dad jokes are exactly what you need. Twenty feels pretty good so far!
