Yeah, that happened today.

I may have done a full fashion show for an audience of one. Marcus was trying to work at the kitchen island when I decided he needed to provide some expert husband opinion on my latest purchase.

His face told me everything I needed to know before he even opened his mouth. “Those are… those are definitely the ones,” was his eloquent review. Such a poet, that one.

The full 360-degree inspection was necessary, obviously. These jeans passed the sitting test, the walking test, and most importantly, the “does my husband stop what he’s doing to stare” test.

Success on all counts. Sometimes you just need someone to appreciate the little victories, like finding jeans that actually fit right and make you feel like the main character in your own life.

Twenty minutes later, Sophie walked through and asked why I was “doing weird walks in the kitchen.” Kids these days have no appreciation for a good fashion moment.
