For all his dinosaur obsessions and bug collecting, turns out my son is also a closet music fan. He’s been doing this for weeks apparently - positioning himself just outside her door whenever Sophie picks up the guitar.

She finally spotted him today and instead of being annoyed, she smiled and kept playing.

It’s these quiet moments between them that get me. Sophie pretending to be too cool for her little brother but secretly loving that he thinks she’s worth listening to. Theo thinking he’s being sneaky when he’s about as subtle as Biscuit trying to steal food off the counter.
