The Art of the Perfect Post-Workout Selfie
So this happened this morning. I finished my workout, caught a glimpse of myself in the kitchen window, and thought ‘okay Elena, you look good.’ Which obviously meant it was selfie time.

The Art of the Perfect Post-Workout Selfie
But here’s the thing about post-workout selfies - the lighting has to be perfect, the angle has to be right, and you have about a 3-minute window before you stop glowing and start looking like you got hit by a truck.
Enter Marcus, my very patient husband slash photographer slash victim of my vanity.

I made this man take approximately 47 photos because the first 46 just weren’t hitting right. Too much shadow, weird arm angle, blinked at the wrong moment - you know how it is.

The quality control process was intense. ‘This one?’ ‘No.’ ‘How about this one?’ ‘Close but my hair looks weird.’ ‘Elena, you literally look exactly the same in all of these.’ ‘Marcus, that is not the supportive energy I need right now.’
But we got there eventually. And yes, I’m posting it because I earned this post-workout glow through blood, sweat, and probably some tears during those burpees. If you work this hard to look this good, you document it. That’s just science.
