Today Biscuit decided that my 2 PM deadline was actually the perfect time for mandatory cuddle breaks.

The drama of being ignored for 5 whole minutes.
You’d think after four years of this routine, he’d understand that when the laptop is open, daddy is busy. But no. Those pleading eyes get me every time.

Fifteen minutes later, my arm is completely asleep and I’ve made exactly zero progress on this design.
Elena walked by and just shook her head. She’s learned to work around interruptions at the hospital, but apparently I haven’t mastered working around interruptions at home.

Guess we’re taking a break.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll remember to close the office door. Or maybe I’ll just accept that some of my best work happens with a furry space heater draped across my lap.
