So Halloween happened, and Sophie decided she was going to be a ladybug. Not just for trick-or-treating, mind you. For LIFE.

Those antenna? Haven’t come off since Sunday night. She sleeps in them. She eats breakfast in them. She tried to wear them in the bath until I had to draw the line somewhere. The wings come and go, but the antennae are apparently a permanent fixture now.

Marcus keeps asking if we should “encourage her to take them off” and I’m like, honey, she’s two and she’s happy. Let the girl be a ladybug. I’ve seen worse phase commitments from adults.

At this rate, we’re going to have the world’s most committed trick-or-treater next year. Or possibly just a daughter who thinks she’s an actual insect. Either way, those cheeks in that costume are killing me.
